As of March 31, 2008, 36% of the total land area of the Tokyo prefecture was designated as Natural Parks (second only to Shiga Prefecture) as its shown in Tokyo parks map, namely the Chichibu Tama Kai, Fuji-Hakone-Izu, and Ogasawara National Parks (the last a UNESCO World Heritage Site); Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park; and Akikawa Kyūryō, Hamura Kusabana Kyūryō, Sayama, Takao Jinba, Takiyama, and Tama Kyūryō Prefectural Natural Parks of Tokyo.
 
Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park is one of Tokyo most enchanted woodlands as its mentioned in Tokyo parks map. Hibiya Park: a sprawling, elegant, woody park in the very heart of Tokyo, right next to the Imperial Palace and not far from Tokyo ritzy Ginza shopping district. Kiba Park (Kiba Koen) is a large, multi-purpose park near the Kiyosumi-Fukagawa district of Tokyo Koto ward. Shakujii Park in Tokyo's Nerima ward is a sprawling area of unspolit nature surrounding two large ponds: Shakujii Pond at the eastern end of the park and Sampoji Pond at the western end.
