Tokyo DisneySea (東京ディズニーシー Tōkyō Dizunīshī) is a 176 acre (712,246 m²) theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort located in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, just outside of Tokyo as its shown in Tokyo Disneysea map. Tokyo Disneysea opened on September 4, 2001. It is owned by The Oriental Land Company, which licenses the theme from The Walt Disney Company. Tokyo DisneySea and its companion park Tokyo Disneyland are the only Disney parks in the world not owned by The Walt Disney Company.
 
While suitable for all ages, Tokyo DisneySea was designed to specifically also appeal to a more grown up audience. Tokyo Disneysea addresses the Japanese visitors strong interest in good food by providing a wider selection of table service restaurants than Tokyo Disneyland and by serving alcoholic beverages, which are unavailable at the neighboring park as its mentioned in Tokyo Disneysea map.
 
Tokyo Disneysea has become one of the most popular Disney Parks in the world, attracting an estimated 12.4 million visitors in 2007. In 2008, Tokyo Disneysea was the fifth-most visited theme park in the world at 12.5 million guests (see Tokyo Disneysea map). Tokyo DisneySea was the second theme park to open at the Tokyo Disney Resort and the ninth park of the eleven worldwide Disney theme parks to open.
